Self-guided rentals are designed for the more adventurous guest and provide an affordable option to explore the open access forest service roads and back country trail systems. Our Jackson office offers Street Legal 2 seat and 4 seat  Can-Am Side by Sides that you can ride directly out of our office to access the half day and full day trail options. We send the machines out full of fuel and you return them the same way.  Side by Sides can be ridden directly out of either shop to access the trail systems.

Guided tours are a great way to reduce the amount of effort required to tour the back country trail systems in both Jackson Hole and Alpine, Wyoming. Our trained guides will trailer the equipment to and from the trail head, load and unload the machines, provide basic machine instruction, provide an interpretive tour of the trail system, and provide information about the area. Fuel and lunch are included. Guided tours are a great option for family or group actives. Let the Guides do all the work while you enjoy your ride!

Pictured first are ATVs, commonly referred to as Four Wheeler’s or Quads. They come in both single and double seat. These have front and rear storage racks and are automatic 4×4 machines with a thumb throttle. They are designed to be ridden on ATV specific trail networks. These are the machines we use for our guided tours in Jackson.

Pictured below are our side by sides. They have full roll cages with steering wheels and pedals, like a car. These are automatic 4×4 machines and come in both 2 seat and 4 seat options. We offer guided tours on our 2 and 4 seat side by side options out of our Alpine location. At our Jackson and Alpine offices you can take the side by sides on self guided tours with either a half day or full day option.

Multiple day rentals are available on any machine.

We offer optional damage waivers on all of our equipment, it can be purchased for $25 for ATVs or $39 for Side by Sides.  For ATVs this limits your liability to no more than $1,000 in parts and labor and no more than 5 days loss of use.   For Side by Sides this limits your liability to no more than $1,500 in parts and labor and no more than 5 days loss of use.   There is no way to limit potential recovery charges if the machine is so damaged it cannot be brought back without our staff’s assistance.  We strongly suggest purchasing this coverage, as most people do not have any other kind of coverage for this type of equipment.  Should you choose to decline the coverage on a side by side rental, we will authorize $5,000/machine on your card of choice.

Helmets and goggles will be included with your rental.  Be prepared to get muddy, dusty or wet!  We suggest long pants and closed toed shoes or boots.  Take along a jacket or sweatshirt as the weather can change quickly.  Don’t forget your sunscreen, bug spray, bandanas, and sunglasses.  It’s never a bad idea to bring a swimsuit and towel if you feel like cooling off in the river on our full-day adventures!

Other great trail items include: picnic lunch, bear spray, cameras, small coolers (available for rent).

Many of these items are available in our retail section.

There are areas on all of our machines to tie down small items like backpacks and coolers.  We provide bungee cords.

You Have to Make Time for This
Renting a side by side from Jackson Hole Adventure Rentals was the best thing I did while in Jackson. The staff was so great both in advance of my trip and while outfitting me the day of the rental. The side by side seemed brand new and was a ton of fun to drive.

We rented 2 side-by-sides to use with our boys in the Gros Ventre area. The staff were very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant to work with. The vehicles were in good shape and served our family well! We would highly recommend them.

Such a fun way to see nature! We went to the Alpine office because you can drive straight to the trails without trailing the four wheelers…
